01The brief
The aim was a resilient and sustainable building with a pleasant façade, because it sits in a vibrant neighbourhood. The ground and mezzanine floors hold shops and other commercial spaces, apartments fill the seven floors above, and the entire basement provides parking for the residents.
02The idea
Two modules organise the typical floors — one with four apartments, one with five. The challenge was to keep generous rooms while letting every one of them be naturally ventilated and daylit.
03The outcome
The new 3D design is based on a modern style, with an elegant stucco façade, long windows and a lot of grooving.
